yeah esm is good for this.
we should make a bassline benchmark and add many synths.
2 sound kinda like massive, maybe cleaner |

1, 2 and 8 sounds best overall. 1 and 8 probably best on most speaker systems I guess. I think 3 and maybe 4 could be used in more complex situations. I thought 2 sounded better than 1 at first run but in my Beijer Dynamics 2 sound a little too loud. |

2 & 3, they sound pretty close though
8 has some character that I like, even if OSC not as stable as others. Analog ?

I am not going to say what it is, but synth 8 has oscillator phase re-trigger. Sounds pretty stable over here.

1 is soft and creamy, not fatiguing on the ears but it s a bit quieter, cut a bit less |

checking on my adam monitor.
on these i like 1 and 5 nice caractere . 5 would be great if it could drive the kick like a machine gun.
1 2 3 5 ,4 ok too other i don t really like the behavior, or s it too quiet
it make me think that logic synth are still great emulation, even if it s not clean enought for today.. some of these bassline sound close to what is possible to get with esm.
once i a/b the good moog saw in omnisphere to esm bassline and couldn t tell them appart with just 2 or 3 eq bands |

Well, some synths sit easier in a mix from the source, although some other synths sound phat, yet need some gentle notching to drop offending bands.
If I was to EQ each synth to sound as good as possible, it would be a lot more subjective as to how I EQed things, whereas, as raw and rough these samples sound, they are the objective raw sound as it comes.
Let me know when you want me to say which synths are in them samples.
