Hi i have buy a new system (vista 64 & Cubase 5 in 64 install). And my problem is that many of my older plugs are dont work with 64 bit.
There is a way to change it , with a new vst bridge i is the j-bridge but i dont trust in it.
Is any one using a whole 64 bit system
and want to tell what plugs are works perfeclety.

i haven't looked into this in a few months, but i don't think a lot of progress has been made. when i was planning on how to set everything up for me, after doing some research, i decided to go with a 64 bit OS and 32 bit Cubase. everything works fine and i haven't hit a RAM ceiling yet. and i don't think you will either. and in case you actually do have to use some memory heavy stuff (realistic orchestra libraries), there are some workarounds you can do which shouldn't kill the workflow (rewire into another app, fx teleport, etc).
just something to consider.

I started out with vista 64 and Ableton and haven't had a problem with plug-in compatibility. Surge, Zebra2, Albino3 all work fine for me.

that's because you are running 32 bit Ableton. as far as i know, 64bit ableton doesn't exist (yet).
