I heard that the Behringer Truth are very much like the mackies.
Not sure about it though.

go to music shop with your favourite cd and check out monitors to see which one you like best.....dont take anybodys word for a monitor...trust you own ears.

i think katam is right! go with a cd and listen by your self...
the onlly problem is that music shop have only alesis but near by in the center there is two stores they have samson and other kind
and in ramat gan near the bursa there is "Marom" and they have another kind of monitors...
prepar to travell a little...

If you want something simple but flat go with the M-Audio StudioPhile (BX5/8).

For something better I would recomend the Behringer Truth monitors....

Don't forget your room size, you don't want that your bass will return from the walls!!!

Peace...

thank"s guys!!!

PsyGhotDeli is a bsoultly right, the problem is that music shop have only the Alesis active MK2,and halilit have the mackie's,m-audio and event...

marom have the tannoy...

it"s imposible to compare! if all the brand's
were in the same shop with good acoustic room, life were much easy...

bom!

Nahhh Bad pick.
I'd go for second hand Mackie or Genelec. Or perhaps the bigger M-Audio monitors (BX8).
Meself planning to buy 'em sooon.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

if your thinking of the Tannoy active(4000-4500 nis)
dont buy at Marom....much better in centroniks in Bnei Brak......they have better prices!
i allso think the Truth's are problamatic in both the high and low range but all monitors are ok once u learn there shit points and adjust to them...
good luck,cheers.
