Saturday 5th of Feb @ the coronet London 9pm - 7:30 am

TICKETS ON SALE NOW FROM ACCESS ALL AREAS, PSY DMT AND PSY-STALL..... PRE-SALE TICKETS ARE LIMITED SO GET EM QUICK FOLKS!!

A big hello to all that frequent this forum and these pages. I'm sure that you are all aware of just how devistating this force of nature has been to many thousands of people. This is the biggest disaster that I have ever seen in my lifetime and leaves man made events such as 9/11 and Hiroshima miles behind.
It is amazing what mother nature is capable of when we least expect it. Unfortunatley this wave hit many countries that do not have the resources to deal with this catastrophy properly. Massive global aid has responded to this but there is still a lot more work to be done over the next few years to rebuild these areas.
It is very sad news that over 1,200 britons are still missing with over a third presumed dead. However, that number pales in comparison to the total cost of lives and homes suffered.
AS A RESULT........ The psy-trance comunity is combining together for one night only in a massive fundraising effort that we hope you can all attend.
The coronet has given us use of the venue for cost price of staff and also donating all bar profits to the fund as well!!! (cheers john!) The line up that we have amassede have all been confirmed and are all playing for FREE!!!! As a result all tickets sales and door tax is going directly to the tsunami fund to aid the people who need the most help.
With this collective effort from the trance community we hope that you can all join us to make this a blinding night with a full house.

(I dont know how to load the flyer and cant be arsed as Im not so good with the teckie bits, but here are the links for the flyer......)

This is shaping up to be a great party in its own right, let alone the fact that we're all donating our services for free in aid of the DEC. It's a real honour to be sharing a stage with some of these people - Hall of Legends indeed! - and we're looking forward to performing with some of our favourite acts and DJs.

However I think to say that
Quote:
The psy-trance comunity is combining together for one night only

is maybe a little over the top. There are, and have been, many trance nights across the country being put on to raise money for survivors of the Tsunami, and they are all just as deserving of people's time and energy as this one. Audio relief may be a little larger than some other benefit parties, but it's certainly not the only one.

Having said that, you should all come to this one cos it's going to be only just slightly enormous.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

I urge everyone who has any sense of sympathy and compassion to come down and support this event...not only will you be entertained by some of the finest UK artists and DJs you will be helping out the starving people who are suffering in Asia RIGHT NOW...just because it's not on the front cover of the news paper doesn't mean that we should forget about this devastating event that has left its tragic mark on millions of people...

No excuses at all! Be there!

You'll love the coronet Asi, its like the rex, just better and much friendlier Its gonna be good to see ya mate, been a long time!

Get down to this tonite if you can peoples... its gonna raise a lot of money, and the roof!

And you can be sure not to hear Astrix's 'wave after wave after wave' track tonight... keep it love!           Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!

A bit of a review of the party for anyone who may be interested.
We were lucky enough to have two days of access to the venue ( a big thanks to John manager Junior maintenance dude and Matt Lighting Technician)
All the crew had a laugh and loads of fun setting up and thanks to all and individual mention's as we get to them!!

It all started for the crew lunchtime Friday when we started putting together the 1 metre circular screens that formed the two larger screens that were hung above the stage to the left and the right - a lot of equipment was moved into the venue - the chill-out room was started to be decorated - and the lighting was focused to where it wouldnt interfere with the video projectons - and the screens were assembled into their final shapes and put (almost) into position before we called it a day and went home feeling pretty happy with all that had been achieved.
The next day (Saturday - day of event) - well we had planned on arriving at 12 but hey 1pm is quite close! Straight to work and the main room screens are eased into their final position, the stage is rigged, rigging wires are strecthed above the dance floor and a cloud of UV butterflies rise toward the balcony. A 2 x large 3 metre diamter backdrops are hung either side of the room on a circular aluminium frame and two HUGE triangular banners are suspend from the balcony hanging down. The stage risers are covered in black material and adorned with jungle plants and vines with butterflys at various places.
The risers for the video projectors were 'wrapped' in giant leaves giving the impression of artichokes(! ok maybe I was spangled!!!)from the rear of the room.
A big thank you is due to Nick and Warren from Folic and Ralph from Inside-Us-All for all the equipment supplied and hardowrk in getting it installed so effectively. Thanks are also due to Jason and Clive from Tribe of Frogz for all their hardwork for such a lovely look to the UV bits (and in such a short space of time!!!)
Plank (audio reality) and ED (systems etc) worked their butts off getting all the live kit sorted, sound checked and looking after all the live pa's needs like true professionals.

A HUGE thank you has to go out all the VJ's who turned up and put on an amazing show (give me another superlative - that one isnt good enough) you are all BRILLIANT
Sam (Liquid Elf - Liquid Drops)meanwhile was busy doing his bit getting ist floor room to look wonderful with drops covering all the vertical surfaces - a really nice room to be in.
On the floor above Fluffy (Fluffy Mafia) worked her magic making a really magical and most comfortable chill space with large cushions and rugs - four 3d rotating pieces of decor and very beautiful strecthed drops. I cant remember the name of the girls that provide the cafe - but hey you were well wicked too!

I cant comment on individual performances either live or DJ or VJ except to say WOW WOW WOW - I VJ'd whilst Mick Chaos played his set - nice dancing mick - and was on the lighting desk for OOOD's live performance - saved those strobes for you Colin!!!

Wicked stage performance from Burnt Toast - keep spinning those poi and the girls who danced later - sorry what was your names!

Richard and Dom from Alien Lasers - thats bright for .5watt and I especially like you programmimng

Those raffle girls Gash, Ferret and Bumrah - you is fun you is!

Then last but certainly not least a special thank you (they know what I mean by 'special' - dont you guys!!!) to Ratty (I love you) eT/Joofoc and their 'groupies' DaRgOn and Earthling and all the others! - the Audio and Video stream to the Net - what can I say - you are hero's.

Judging by the mess I am in and by the many many smiling and happy faces - the apparent social interaction of many who didn't know each other before the night I think we can call that a bit of a success - dont know how much has been raised yet but I am sure in the next few days one of the promoters will let us all know.
There you are a viewpoint from the production side - we all had a ball - thank you.
