Flubber, I hope you dont take orgytime's comment as negative... it doesn't mean you are not creative, but that maybe you are focusing to much on quality and maybe forgetting the creativity...
I would say that you are trying to be perfectionist, when perfectionism gets out of the artistic path... or you have good listening and mixing skills and not much creativity skills for sound creation. That doesn't mean you have to stop making music... but maybe just focus on what you can do best, and be part of a team/band where your skills are needed. Remember, a net keeper is also a soccer player, he doesn't run much, rarely scores, but he's always important for the results.
I can't make judgements or take conclusions, even if I knew you... just telling that as long as you like, believe, and have the willing... you can always put your message out there through your music!

Now that's very well said i don't think of myself as very talented but 'im trying also, most of the times i get stuck on all the technicalities and loose feel, but in my mind i need to get the sounds right first and then let the creative process flow, the last track i finished was about 4 years now, only now i'm having the time to experience a little more, now that i have a very cool girlfriend and a more settled life I would suggest you listen to this track on headphones, if you nottest, the bass, kick and percs are really in the center the rest is panned left, right, left right and so on, and another thing try to get your main bass sounds in beetween 50 and 200 hertz but the kick is the main thing, just to begin with then u'll start improving

I feel it needs abit more of variety. More alive percussions would make it more interessting, and more variety of sounds, perhaps a pad?, maybe a few more breaks?.
i don't think of myself as very talented
