the times im ear the project in the process of the prodution its enough.
but actually when im finish project (finished meanwhile) i leave it for a 1 or 2 days and then im back... now i dont need to ear it a thousand times one time its enough to comprehend if you miss something there or its simply perfect. this is more smart & easy than ear it time after time exactly when you thinking its finish.

for me its around 100-150 times for a track ....anymore than this and i'd be too bored of the trk and start working on a new one .... so try to finsih off a trk in the least numbers of listenings as possible .. |

I do the same.... Slightly like a Pymalion complex to an extent, but if I can lose myself in the track and completely trance out to it, I can let other's hear it then.

colin m instead of listening to the trk over and over again for 2 hours , wont it make more sense , if u listenined to it after a few hours or a day .... tht seems more sensible to me ... |

LOL , that was funny ! ....... but other than the point is and from my own personal experience , finish off a track ... and they gie our ears some rest , try to empty your mind .... and maybe after a few hours or maybe the next day if time permits ... lissen to the mix once again with a fresh perspective .... and im sure you will come across / see some more points on the mix , that could be fixed or simple made better !

Yes , It Better that way to stop some times for some hours and then to hear again .
I work on music 10-12 hour a day so i dont have time to stop ..
