I think it's about both.
I have few hours a day to spend at the studio, better have optimal workflow so I take advantage.
Also after more than 2-3 months per track I get bored and lose the original vibe. Best stuff I've done was less than a week. Actually working too much on a track can kill all creative flow for me. |

In order to be creative with your tools you must surpass your tools and think of them as an extension of yourself - it should be effortless.
Say I have the most creative idea ever for a painting, but I don't know how to mix my paints well or which brushes to use. By the time I get that stuff sorted the original idea might have faded...
But if I know my equipment really well, then I can just pick up and go without having to worry or think about the technical details - that to me is what an efficient/optimal workflow is about.

probably cause all this come naturaly when you know well your tools , you may do it even wihtout noticing it, but agree there is lot of "happy accident" and stuff like this that can hapen easily when we just let things flow depending of the mood insteed of a "programed" workflow |

Most psytrancers can not replicate the melody they used in their tracks. Let me not get to the fact that most darkpsy is just modulations. |

Didn't realize that being able to play a melody on the keyboard or being able to sing along with your track was a pre-requisite for making music.
I guess I better just stop, I don't do either of those things so I'll just quit.
