Hello everyone ?

I have now the option to buy second handed Roland DS-5 or DS-7 .

I have very small room and I'm not sure if 7'' will suit my 2x4 room .

The difference in prize is also 250 $ ( here are the prizes :

DS-5 new: 700 $ used: 400$

DS-7 new: 1150$ used: 655$ )

Any other suggestion are welcomed

never heard these but not only the size of the room matter as there is other thing that will color the sound, like room shape walls materials and stuff like this..
you can have loads of bass or no bass in 2 different small room but the bass reponse always have problems from my experience

I would go for the 7" , should be ok, and when you move into a bigger room you still got monitors that work..

cheers           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

I've got similar case. 3,5 m x 2,2 m x 2,5 (xyz). I were thinkin' about B3031A. Opinions are really different. Swap from Alesis M1A 520.

Anyone has better idea about next monitors with front bass reflex- I'm willing for suggestions

Budget- ~800$

WhySoLazy, I don't wanna sound boring, but do you have a chance to bring any monitors to listen to them at least for several hours? That would help you a lot. Probably that will help you to make final, and correct decision.

psysutra, well i never heard these Behringers. Everyone knows that this company has pretty mixed reputation, but I've heard good stories about their 8" monitors - that's why i would like to check them out. As far as I can see they are unbeatable offer of a pair of new 8" monitors for that price.
Also I would recommend you to check Yamaha MSP 7, which also have a very good feedback and the price!
Check it out:

And I do believe that Adma A7 or Yamaha MSP7 (though these are 7") would be an upgrade comparing to M1A, in terms of bass response and overall detail.

I were thinking about Adam or Dynaudio, but they're too expensive. If I will can try sound of MSP7, I'll buy them. Big up!

I think all corners surface should be covered by basstraps. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
