Pink floyd's music is highly psychedelic, IMO. In second thought and listening what's yours?

Very hard to pick 5 albums that are not psytrance. There is so many stuff I like besides psytrance.... I'll just pick 5 albums that I really like at this moment:

1. Underworld - Dark & Long
2. Autechre - Draft 7.30
3. Coldplay - X&Y
4. Tool - Lateralus
5. Esoteric - Subconscious Dissolution Into The Continuum

There are many more I like, but these sprang to mind now.
Reasons why:

1. Timeless. Back in 1994 there was nothing quite like this, and this album states that Underworld is (and always will be) one of the best artists in making remixes / other versions of their own tracks. Dark Train.. that's one of my faves... yeah!!

2. These aren't songs... they're organic structures. Really. Listen to them breathe and behave erratically. Oh yeah... Autechre has mastered their electronic art like no other. Evolving from straight ambient/techno to where they are today. Great.

3. Coldplay need no introduction. Feel good music is what this is. Speed of Sound is an incredible song and so's the rest of the album.

4. Lateralus is a monster of an album and Tool's best effort to date. Great songwriting, great lyrics, great playing, great atmosphere throughout and over 79 minutes of play time, this is what albums should be like. A milestone in this genre.

5. Well, Esoteric are well known in doom-metal land, and this album proves again why they're so special. With songs lasting up to 20 minutes they have extraordinary skill in keeping up your interest as a listener. And their lyrics are just amazing.

"Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
