Hey everyone, just wanted to let all of you guys that we are going to be videotaping the Cubik party with Infected Mushroom for the Konvocation DVD "American Influence - A Documentary on the American Psytrance Scene".
So be loud, wear something that glows in a black light, and dance your ass off.
This DVD is going to be taped at the biggest psytrance festivals in America this summer, kicking off at Cubik. So if you see the camera guys, put on a big smile and dance your ass off!

So which festivals this summer are they filming at?
I give props to konvocation for the effort and hope it turns out well. Just have a couple comments,
If it's going to be a documentary on the american psytrance scene I hope it includes more than just the biggest festivals. we know some of our best parties are the smaller events.
and it may be better to say, If you see the camera guys, continue dancing as if they weren't there.

We plan to hit, The Syndicate/HomMega Festival in Seattle on 6.04, The Gaian Mind Festival, Neptunalia (Touch Samadhi) and some other one off parties.
Yeah, just be yourself if you are on camera, scream dance.. do whatever.

With the RAVE act in full effect, is it a wise idea to document the trance scene in America?
Is the Infected Mushroom show in DC an appropriant venue to document the trance scene?
Does the presence of video cameras make some people too self conscious to dance and have a good time?
Who will be doing the soundtrack for the DVD?

The soundtrack is yet to be determined. We are simply gathering footage now. If you've seen any of the DVDs for sale on psyshop, everyone seems to have a good time regardless of whether they are being taped or not. |

...what about documenting small trance parties? Videotaping large events is fine, however you could get a more balanced perspective of the scene by going to small weekly trance parties around the US. For example, you could film footage from aniyta in boston, or thiasos in new york city.
