Why on earth do you need a 32 bit soundcard? Do you know the dynamic range of 24 bit? There is'nt any equipment that can take full advantage of 24 bit today, so i do'nt think anyone is planning a 32 bit card.

+1           A friend told me once that the biggest mistake we make is that we believe we live, when in reality we are sleeping in the waiting room of life.

I want a 1Mbit sound card with 3Ghz sample rate.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

A 32-bit float A/D converter sounds like a great idea - unclippable and with an infinitely low noisefloor!

However until they rewrite the laws of physics we're stuck with fixed-point devices, and to be honest the noise-floor of most sources is way above the -144dB possible with a 24-bit converter anyway.

Hmm? What makes you say so? Having a 32-bit floating point ADC's is like having 128 fixed-point ADC's running parallel with different gains and some logic to determine which exponent to use...

Highly unrealistic and uneconomical but still very possible. No physics bending needed

Floating point numbers are nothing more than fixed point numbers with scaling factor.
