audiorealism for leads? it doesn't have neither LFO or envelope

its controls are modelled after the 303!

the original 303 only has simple envelopes and no LFO

get a doepfer or mam for more complex 303 sounds

for me, as i'm no 303 purist, any synth with a fat saw (maybe analog) and env>filter modulation will do the trick

roll a joint or STFU :)

Hey. How are you getting on with the bass station? Is it the rackmount? I had the rackmount and I found it had a mind of it's own. It kept changing sounds whenever it wanted. Hope its ok for you

It is the rack.

PM me and ill give you more advice when i return from vacation.

my bass station doesnt do that, it acts pretty darn normal, compared to some of my other synths.

You probably have it positioned in your midi chain and set up to let external devices change its program when they change programs.

Mine is set up in the mess of things to stay the same.

Instructions really help, its got a micro interface!

Today there's nothing better than ReBirth to emulate the sound of 303,
there's newer stuff, better looking stuff, but not better sounding stuff.           >>> FOR SALE: Mac-clone OSX86 Audio Workstation <> Perfect computer for Logic 9 Pro <<<

I have a Doepfer system with the A-120 transistor ladder VCF that is used on the ms404. It's got that analog juice but does not growl like the 303 filter. Also the VCO plays a big part. The A-111's waveforms are more "perfect" than the A-110 waveforms. The difference is subtle, but its there.
The saw on the 303 has a plateau, not like a perfect ramp waveform at all. The square wave on the 303 is two sawtooth waves where one is inverted. So that changes the square sound quite a bit.
Then you have all these slides and filter accenuations, but you can always program a sequence that does that.
I absolutely LOVE the 303 sound!
Hardfloor are the masters!
