but at that time already boundaries between acid techno and psytrance were linked or smoothed via acid trance.. music not as organic (more repetitive) and less "psychedelic" in terms of exotic musical scales as psytrance but already pretty close music wise..
one of my acid trance favourites from 1993 on the great noom label which released kick ass acid trance and techno at the time

Yes, Mystic Harmony was already mentioned in the same topic where Commander Tom is hidden, but where is the 303, in the bass?

nice video man did few teknivals few years after this one ,it was just crazy .
i m not sure but i think hallucinogen were playing this one in his live act around 97/98 ,offtopic but acid sounding too...
The TB 303 has a sound that is very Organic, that means, for example, it reminds a lot of nature sounds, like birds, I know it sounds strange as I picture it, but the mind loves that sound and sees it as a sound of nature.
"Many other companies have tried creating products that sound like the 303, but none have matched its popularity. Digital synthesizers could not even come close, as the 303 has a kind of organic sound that eludes the cold precision of silicon wafers. There are other analog synthesizers that can produce similar organic grinding/chirping/squirting noises"
Not only the sound, but also the design and the ideas incorporated into its sequencer were quite revolutionary. Those japs that were responsible for the roland gear of this era were either genious, crazy, or abducted and indoctrinated with some cutting edge info by aliens.
I think those of us here who have actually programmed a TB's sequencer, and counted out the steps accents and slides, and felt the hairs on the back of their necks stand up when touching that 18db filter, will agree that option 3 seems quite likely.
(Think jupiters, juno's, TR's, SH's, TB's etc etc, the foundation upon which many electronic styles were built)
It was so revolutionary, that when it was launched, it was a gigantic failure because people failed to realise its potential, instead they tried to see it as a programmable bass guitar. The 303's sound can do many things, but making a convincing emulation of a real bass guitar is not really one of them.
Only years later, when people started to realise its potential for electronic music styles did it start its soaring rise to the Analog Kit Hall of Fame.

I can't say it's AS good as the original because I've never got my its on one first hand, but what I've heard of the 303 from tracks that I know I think this guy gets pretty close for those of us 303less... quite a bunch of us I think.
