Acid techno... born at around the same time as, or slightly before psy, it's like psytrance's scruffy older brother... the sort of brother who would steal your pocket money to go buy cigarettes and was into all sorts of weird porn at far too young an age. Acid techno and psytrance are both children of the marriage between acid house and industrial music back in the early 90s, and still have a lot in common IMO.
but at that time already boundaries between acid techno and psytrance were linked or smoothed via acid trance.. music not as organic (more repetitive) and less "psychedelic" in terms of exotic musical scales as psytrance but already pretty close music wise..
one of my acid trance favourites from 1993 on the great noom label which released kick ass acid trance and techno at the time
