I have for spend 300. I can buy these monitors (http://www.hercules.com/pt/DJ-Musica/bdd/p/172/xps-2-0-80-dj-monitor/) + the korg microcontroler.
or can I just spend all the money on krk r5 monitors (http://www.krksys.com/krk-studio-monitor-speakers/rokit/rokit-5.html).
someone who understands well the technical details of both monitors and compare.
tell me what would be the best choice
have a nice day |

Depends what you already have. If you don't have monitors yet, than it would be a good option to get a pair
Not sure if you can afford the KRKs if you can though, than get them |

do you have hifii speakers already? if yes save for more money and use your hifi..well migh depend their quality but some decent hifi speakers are as good/crap as low end monitors to me. moving from decent hifi to low end monitors is not really a upgrade.
personally i would save more or get headphone for that price...and use what you already have for getting the sound stage/ panorama right... but tbh in electronic music / psytrance the sound panaorma is always a bit the same so it s not really a issue, as wide as possible, and the rest in the center lol i exagerate but it s not far from that, so even in headphone you could get the sound stage right wihtout much trouble i guess with a bit of training, specially if you re used to mix on speakers |

not sure it's a good one but with 300$$ there is not much you can do, headphone don't suit everyone. but you will have flater frequency respone on good headphone than with monitors in a small room.unless you are lucky with the room you need loads of bass traps and broadband in a small one to get decent frequency reponse like on a good headphone in the mids and the low ,but personaly i find headphone a pain to learn,i don t like mixing on them but for the money you can't beat them |

Hey!
It would be nice to know what you already have, but you won't do much with that amount unless, maybe, some headphones as PoM suggested.

guys look at this, it s a 1000 dollars headphone, audeze lcd2,it s suposed to be one of the best one, i m thinking to get it even if it expensive such frequnecy response from 20 hz to 1k is a dream for monitor/studio set up,the line is smoothed to 1/3 octave though, but still it s very good ,also release/reverb time is less than 2 ms unders 100 hz and transient are great on it..if it sound as impressive as the spec this thing is dope
