3 Way Monitoring Suggestions

Hey guys,
soooO, recently i got my head more n more around updating my monitoring setup, which is still the same ever since. Im very much attracted by Events 20/30, im anyways not that much a fan of discount solutions. sure theres a reason why they can offer 3 way monitoring at that price. that being said, i know about their issues and the benefits of higher priced 2 way monitors.
but since i got a (though not best, knowing them for years) 2 way system id really be happy to get some more lowend into my room without the need for a sub.... oh yeah im not a fan of subwoofers..... pls dont make it an issue here.... all i wanna know is what your suggestion are at a price range of max. 600€ each or 1200€ a pair.
im only looking for 3 way suggestions. i didnt hear lots of them. the ones i heared aside events would be way too much to handle financially, though they´ve been straight forward porn for sure

Can I ask why you don't like subwoofers? I don't want to make it an issue, I'm just curious as to your reasons. |

the 3 ways I heard about are the focal twins, focal sm9.
I didnt heard a lot of them either. and the ones I heard were way out of my current budget. but who knows, maybe soon!

Remember that 3-way actually can great a lot more problems. In your price range, I would get the Event Opals over the 2030s any day.
The Opals are beastly loud, vibey as fuck, and if not exactly extremely accurate, they do translate ridiculously well. Great transient respons - probably due to the massive wattage. Beats out a lot of 3-ways.
After that... Adam S3 series used if you can find it. If you like the ribbon tweeter, that is.

I just purchased the new Focal Alpha 80`s (2 way) These will do until i get my Barefoot MM35`s which will be the last monitors i ever buy lol

well for the price of the Opal i´d have a hard choice
seems i should better save some bucks and upgrade with some better 2way speakers for now.
try to get a listen on the adams, though the ones i heared havent been able to impress me.... yeah, slap me ...

they may reach that, though i hardly doubt at -3db.... who knows, never heared them. i do know focal only for their exceptional car hifi shizzle, which is def. top notch.
