Bounce most things that you know aren't going to be changed, especially you're midi tracks..because over 100 tracks is a little over the top.. |

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, well, it was a Bios setting thing, I did meassure my CPU performance and its up to 2470mhz on a dual core AMD 64X2 4800+, now with some reinstalling CPU drivers and tweaking the Bios, the saving time now is fixed, so far, so good.
And about the 100 track average, well, the computer handles it fine, so, I rather have all my work and waves on each channel so I can have control over the sound. I do use a lot of realtime vst instruments with almost full inserts on each as well, when CPU reaches 90%, I freeze and work with 80% cpu just fine,even change my RME setting from 512 samples to 1024 samples. and if I really need, Ill bounce and freeze some more.

well im not cubase user , but
3 warnings
1 always work on a project folder , and make save project at the first time , also in the future each time u make save or u make a bounce a just a recording from any hardwaqre sinth , all the files used , stay in that folder .
2 try having less things on the disc , the main disc , were u need to have all samples and stuff , or having a big disck with a good speed rate
3 have u cheked the preferences in the main option settings ? for audio and everything ?u might find there something that might help u.
i see in logic ,that , even using full buffer from cpu's from all the plugins on the mixer and audio files and also midis that, when i press save , it make's a save in 1 second .
attention to somebody who told , how u get 150 track on the mixer ?? well i dont know about cubase , but in logic , only audio track u can add 128 . plus a big ammount of audio instruments , also aux , bus 96 ... well u can have a huge mixerr ..
