On Saturday, March 31st we will mark the coming of spring with an open air psytrance gathering outside of Austin. Penta, one of our favorite international psytrance producers, will be joining us for the occasion.
Be sure to bring lots of stuff to ensure your comfort throughout the night. We strongly suggest that everyone bring camping supplies including tents, flashlights, bug spray, etc. in addition to the usual items such as drinks, snacks, water, and blankets. To maintain a safe and comfortable vibe, you are encouraged to pass the word on to friendly, good-energy people, but please do not post information about our events on any other public forums or mailing lists.
Likewise, admittance is by RSVP only. The RSVP list will be checked at the door. Directions to the location will not be posted on the website and will only be emailed to those that have RSVP'd. RSVP at http://www.fugutrance.com.
This event is 18+. $15 before 10pm, $20 after.
Music by...
Dr. No (Texaliens, Omsound; Austin): A founder of the Texaliens, Steve has helped keep dance parties in Austin going strong with his Omsound renegades. Steve djs a wide range of styles including downtempo, breakbeat and progressive. He'll use his diverse collection to get the night started properly.
Underfoot (Audiognomes; Wisconsin/Austin): We're pleased to have Paul, a recent arrival from Wisconsin, dj'ing at a Fugu Trance event for the first time. He will begin the evening's psytrance with the melodic sounds in his collection.
Klapton (Mistical Productions; Dallas) Always an expert at reading the crowd, Keith's last set at Ocellatus created a raging dancefloor. He will continue the night's psytrance with whatever style is just right for the time and place.
Penta (Auraquake; Atlantis) We're honored to have an artist of Nikita's caliber performing at a Fugu Trance event. Nikita grew up in Leningrad, moved to San Francisco, and has since spent his time in Portugal and the international psytrance circuit, playing everywhere from Brazil to Japan. Expect immaculately produced, powerful and driving, yet quirky and beautiful sounds.
Bodhi-lectro (Austin): Carneal's last set at our Fugu Birthday Party had such a great effect on the dancefloor that we had to invite him back for round two. He will provide the soundtrack for dawn with high energy melodic full-on.

Looks like an awesome venue and lineup! Penta's live set is amazing... both night and morning.
And not to forget Underfoot...The midwest has had the pleasure of his DJ sets and energy on the floor for the last few years. Always a fun gnome! Psy-melodic style and flow and impeccable mixing!
All the best to the Fugu Trance crew for this one!

About 175 people turned out for this great party. I think we all agree that this is by far our best event yet.
Penta played an awesome 4+ hour set, going from 4 am to 8 am, past sunrise. Lots of stuff from the new album, some old tracks from Pentafiles and great compilation releases like "Everybody Goes Crazy". In the morning, when he was getting into the 4th hour Pete turned to me and said, "Dude, when is he going to run out of material?!" I had the pleasure of picking Nikita up from the airport and spending a good amount of time with him and can attest that he is a very cool person.
Thanks to Dragon and his posse for driving out all the way from Mississippi. Dragon must have been the number one Penta fan there as he did not once leave the dancefloor during Penta's set, except to go to the restroom.
It will be hard to top this event but we've got some exciting acts in the works. We have Bluetech and KiloWatts on April 21. See www.fugutrance.com
