Will Gemini have a better line-up than this party?
Just wondering, cause I was thinking about flying out for Gemini; but this will be during my spring break.
I've never been to the West Coast, and I want the first event I attend to be most proper.
I know Gemini is legendary, but I haven't seen a line-up like this... um... ever?
Or, at least this line-up rivals any major festy lineup I have seen in the States (minus any chill headliners).
But will Digital Talk play new or older stuff...
I guess new because it's live?
And I haven't heard much new material from Naked Tourist in a while. Will it be Beorn and N-Zeo? I have heard new Iguana material; a little faster, I would say; but still very trippy... |

It's hard to say... It's hard to compare parties because they all have their own vibe to them.
Take this with a grain of salt because I have yet to actually attend Gemini (though I planned to last year and plan to this year).
I would imagine Gemini has more of an "out of town" vibe. As in, you're going to have a lot of people from a lot of different places all converging. I would imagine people are probably a bit more open minded to new experiences with new people. Also, the setting completely away from civilization (for the most part) will undoubtedly change the vibe (for the better if you ask me).
This 48hr Psytribe party is going to be great for sure. It's definitely going to have a more local vibe, although you'll definitely see people from out of town as well. In addition, I think there will be a good mix of people from SD and LA. It's not as far out of civilization as Gemini, and a lot of the people who already know each other will be going to hang out with people they already know. This is not to say people won't be totally nice and friendly however. It just means you might have to actively engage people.
Both of them should be amazing parties. Gemini is probably considered more "special" by many people. However, this is the first major outdoor party that southern california has had in quite awhile. Not to mention it's turning out to be one of the biggest. These two factors combined could lead to this being one of the best parties EVER!

very excited to be a part of this....
cant wait to see the so cal familia again, and to hear the Funktion1, .... and play on it..
Id been wondering alot lately what became of Digital Talk, very nice to see them again.... have always been one of my favs....
and Braincell and Rasta killed it at GMSF last year, so should be very nice
Bjorn... i just like him more for him and his attitude than music, but should still be very nice
as for this vs Gemini....Do both....
if you cant, this will as said above have a more local vibe, and a bit heavier lineup in terms of international talent
Gemini will be more of a gathering of the tribes from around the US, with some of the best in the US, and while not having as many headliners, it will have 2 top notch internationals that most people will soil themselves over
anyways though killer lineup psytribe, cant wait

Killer Line Up psytribe!
Way to start this year with a bang.
Poli played last weekend with geomagnetic in SF, he rocked it.
Yo so I have just one question, as always, the post mentions a river running through the reservation.
The last 2 time the river's been drier than my grandmas vjayjay.
So should I bring my swimming trunks this time?
  Never hold it in. |

shutup tom you big pussy hhahahaa
everyone get naked and jump in the creek!!! YYEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHH
seriously, with all the rain lately, the creek just might be running in full, depending on how the san diego county water department is feeling (they have to open the gate at the reservoir, which they usually do by that time of year)
I like the lineup. it is solid. some people might want to go to this over gemini just for the lineup or maybe just cause this might be spring break for them, or maybe cause this seems more interesting, or maybe just cause. psykovsky april 4th. (that was an intentionally subliminal message inserted, pay no direct attention to it.) POW!!! whatever the reason, I think everyone into psytrance in the USA and beyond should come see a Psytribe event.... they know how to throw down. POW!!!!!
see ya there!

I would say it depends on your specific taste in party vibes but there's no time like the now and this party does have a lot going for it: the funktion one system, the equinox-like progression from dark to light music through the two days, the number of international artists, the amazing native reserve location, etc.

It'll be a live and DJ set from Bjorn, N-Zeo doesn't really tour. Hope to see there!
