That was the classic Mahadeva by Astral Projection..I played a high quality master of the '95 original from a dusty release on Transient records, better than the Trust in Trance release of it

Yes I had to drop that track to make it abundantly clear I'm playing a goa set, and to make people rush the dance floor and allow me to play faster tracks Strategy worked great. I've been so deprived of anyone giving a hoot or knowing a hoot about Goa trance here, its only fair to drop some classics from way before any of us were partying to set it straight

This link showed me a good thing about YouTube. So much music to be found there, video or not with it. I like this song and though I heard and danced to your whole set Bobby, I can't remember any individual song being played including this one. A good thing is how I view this, but it also means I've probably never heard any of the music you played that day. I found "Let There Be Light" by Astral Projection on YouTube and played and like it, though these little computer speakers just ain't the same thing as being there in the outdoors with some of the music equipment people bring to the gatherings, especially this gathering. I was still a radio and album guy back then in the waning days of grunge. I missed out on the goa music when it was new, so it's all new to me fourteen years later. Even music three years old is music I probably have not heard! It is one reason why I try to go to various gatherings to find the music I have not heard, and conversely why I also go to some gatherings that I have grown familiar with the music to be played. Thanks for having an interest in getting it played and making the new goa available too. It's similar to psychedelic trance, but different in ways that I'll gradually learn about or figure out. Not easy for myself from the dance floor while DJs are spinning and mixing things without me thinking about it and just joyously dancing to the beats. I am of the mind to not think so much when dancing as it seems to make me fall down or stumble too much. Yet another reason I like the gatherings so much is the DJs and everyone else likes to help me with the music. Lots of creativity and enthusiasm that I find so invigorating to be around.
Oh, by the way, I was partying before you were around in any form, let alone partying age. For all that experience I feel in ways that I missed so much and am starting from scratch in many ways. Kind of cool to use my experience from them days to enjoy new things nowadays. Yep, I am a relic from a forgotten age. It's a trip to be the second oldest person at most of the gatherings I go to. What a great time in history it is to be alive, though I wish I was half my age. Whatever will the future bring? Stomping beats and happy people are going to be a part of it. Thank you all.
