by and far my favorite release of 2011! its so refreshing to enjoy some homegrown full power music here in the states  this stuff is my ideal nighttime music.. low and full yet groovy basslines, overlayed with unpredictable soundscapes yet super clean, pounding enough to stir your spinal fluid and 100% danceable.
i've been friends with david since right around the time he started making electronic music, and have had the pleasure of watching him grow and evolve as an artist and as a human being. i think back to where our love for this music was born, in basements and backyards with a handful of freaks, and am amazed that in a few short years he is releasing music of this caliber. if this dedication and musical exploration holds its pace i can't wait to hear where he blasts off to next keep on making your dreams a reality dave!!! |

Journeys is truly one of the most remarkable psychedelic trance albums I have heard in a very long time. Kabayun's body of work has grown and developed in such a way over the past year or so - rarely do you see an artist ascend so swiftly and with such solid work to show for it. If you haven't checked out this release yet, it is a must-hear. Dave, thank you for the magic! Keep up the amazing work. |
