Ok some info on the LIVE's ....starting with Tegma, first time in UK...esp along side the likes of Insane Creation and Annarchy. Makes for a highly original and very special show indeed......new faces ...new music.....new sound.....thats wot its all about..
Intro............
TEGMA
Tegma are Omar Chelly and Jason Orfanidis, both born and bred in Swedish town Malmoe.
In 1994 Jason discovered psy trance. However for Omar, this music didn’t seem too interesting, he was more into hip-hop and world music. Although he had been listening to some electronica like Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk and Vangelis it was a bit hard to swallow psy. Later on, at the end of 1997 only after Jason forgot some cd’s at Omar’s house, was he sucked in by the psychedelic groove.
In 1998, Omar got hold of the program Reason and started experimenting with it. This later resulted in their first common project called Epsilon,
After a year of messing around with Reason, and learning the basics from it they both decided it was time to buy some hardware.
They first bought the Yamaha Rm1x and later on a Novation Nova, with these two and a simple pc running Cubase they continued producing under the Epsilon name for a couple of months.
However in the beginning of 2000 they instantly fell in love with the new wave of progressive and minimal psytrance and felt, like all of us dedicated prog heads, that this was the thing they were looking for.
So the result was the death of Epsilon and the birth of Tegma!
In June 2000, Omar and Jason produced their first 3-track demo and sent it out to a couple of labels, with positive feedback and a signing of one of the tracks, things started to look good for Tegma and this resulted in more hard work.
Since then things have gone quite well, releasing on over 20 cd compilations on various labels around the world, Including the Dream Temple compilation (Myth of an Angel) a couple of twelve inches and two albums, the latter of which has been one of 2006 best selling progressive psy trance cds, “Around the world in 80 minutes”. Here, they have perfected their deep tribal bass lines and natural musical flair.
Tegma have performed their live act in many parts of the world, far places such as Japan, Brazil and Mexico among many others…appearing on the line up of all major psy trance festivals.
These guys have reached the top of the league in progressive psy. They are true musicians who have incorporated, like all the artists we bring, true groove and excitement in their live performance. Anyone in possession of the last album will understand.
(Other projects are with Homer N Lazon project which had some releases in the U.K., and Omar also producing his solo project O’Chelly with a couple of releases on some cd compilations.)
