A lot of discutions about 16 and 24 bit. 
I have just a question: if i am using in a track a sample that is already recorded on 16 bit, should i convert it in 24 bit ? or should i live it in 16 bit. And if i will convert it, there will be any difference, i mean 24 bits will improve quallity to the sample ? or the quallity will be the same ?

There is no sequencers that actually work in 16 bit to my knowledge, so any 16 bit sound will be converted no matter you like it to or not.
But to simply save the file as 24 bit before importing it to the sequencer will not be of any use.
The only reason to do that would be if you had applied some processing.

Well, Fruity Loops still work on 16 Bit or 32 bit..Even Cubase still use 16 bit rate, and it convert the file automatically only if you choose to start the project in 24 bit. So, it's not a must..
But, not every sample library you can find on net or sample cd's is 24 bit, there are still lots of samples like percutions, or vocals in 16 bit format.
Is there a reason to convert them in 24 bit, if in the end, afther mastering it will be reconverted in 16 bit ?
I got the ideea with rendering the Vst Synths in 24 bit for better quallity, but i still have doubts about the 16 bit samples, sometimes used in traks.

the only reason to do that is if u use 24bit vst / sample. if all 16 (some vst dont support 24) no reason to go 24 bit.. but still some say there is. if u work with mixed quality (16,24,or the unbelievable mp3) i reccomend to render all to 24 bits so not loosing whats good .
btw - how about sample rate? all agree 96000? or 88200? what about speed of the mixed sample in project?

What I meant was that no sequencer WORKS in 16 bit.
Sure, all sequencers I know can load 16 bit files, but they will be blown up to 32 bit when being used by the software.
So there is no reason to convert them since the software will do that automatically.

I have a really stupid question. The most of the talk in hear have been about 16 and 24 bit , I have from the beginning used 32 bit float ...
My own logic tells me this cant be worse than any of the two other bit depths .. ( i also convert and bounce down in 32 bit ... and Only when i mixed and mastered im converting to 16 bit .. ) .. is this the way ? or does the last 8 bit not give anyhting that can be heard .. does it use more cpu /ram ? ..
