I don't know for sure but I'd say that was very unlikely.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

What sounds better is of course subjective, I heard in some listening test many people prefer the sound of 8 bit compared to 16 bit, and many producers love the sound of 8 or 12 bit drum machines like the Mirage sampler or the SP-1200.

The difference between a 24 bit and 16 bit file is not of course huge and hardly obvious.
But using many channels of 16 bit audio I can hear a difference and it prefer the sound of working in 24 bit, but might use bit reduction on some tracks to bring them down to 8 bits.
I think it's nice to be able to use the contrast of clearly defined sounds with gritty lo-fi.

Sure, if you prefer the sound of 16 bit on all your tracks, go ahead and use it as a conscious choice, but if you want faithful reproduction of the source or want to have a wider range of sound you can achive work in higher resolution.
But whatever you do record your master in 24 bit to please the mastering studio and label if nothing else.

Bully, you remind me Israeli education gov. minister, Limor Livnat. She made a test which define israeli kids stupidness while it is obvious teachers are resposible for that, so in the result she decided to decrease the level of mathematics, phisycs and other global subject to fit it to "stupid" kids. So nothing to worry you samrt as every Israeli (excl.IM who apply neve hardware after 16bit or 24bit mix)

maybe i am stupid cuz i dont get it..
what do you mean by that?

b.t.w. i know erez from infected personnaly and in his opinion he rather work in 16 bit
because he likes to work at the rate that the track really will be.

nolightatend i really dont get you aditute!
what the hell are you talking about?!
dercreasing \ increasing ?!!
what`s the connection to my post?

anyway i dont think that erez is a god but his works sound really good tho.
i mentioned it because he got different view than most producers.
i dont like to do stuff because "every body says its better so why dont do it.."

can any one tell me whats the use of working 24 bit if all of my samples are in 16 bit?

because when mixing different samples at 32bits, even if they are 16 itself, they'll sound much better...

to put it in a more complete way: the interactions between the 16bits waves will be more acurate if mixed at a higher bitdepth...

that's way some vst hosts mix at 36 bits and only export at 24/32, or tau has 64 bits definition (i've been told)

my final opinion: always work at the best bit depth and sample rate your vst host and your DAW supports.

export at the same configuration you mixed and then convert to a suitable sample-rate and bitdepth

the reason i asked it is because in my opinion, 16 bit samples wont get any better if you add some eq or reverb. but i got some answers..
i think that progress will come only when the music will be on DVDs in 24 bit.
producers excited about their sound at the studio but in the end the product is less quality.
delusion strikes!
