Well as some of you know already, there was a big Writers' strike until very recently. One of the biggest victims of the strike were the fans of 24 because Fox canceled the 7th season till next January.

You mean 24 Hours?
By "support group" you mean we should gather a group of people who support the idea of it being canceled forever, right?

I thought 24 was supposed to stand for 24 hours not for 24 years.

Good thing they cancelled it,time to work on something new and fresh.

I just hate it when they come up with a nice concept of a series like Lost,Prison Break,24 or whatever and then they exploit it to death making it boring even for the most hardcore fans.

A good series should last 2 or maximum 3 seasons,more than that is bad for the series itself and for its legacy.

Ofcourse i am talking about series that are supposed to have a continued storyline,it is easy to understand that series like Married With Children,X Files,The Simpsons and more dont fall to this category since every episode is individual.

That's a problem because if the makers want to syndicate it to another smaller networks in the US (that's lots of money for many years ahead, ask Jerry Seinfeld) there must be at least 100 episodes of the TV show. Which means at least full 4 seasons.
BTW 24 was canceled only this season. It will return with many new terrorists next January.

fucking sad story.....!!pissed off with all the channels who didnt pay the writers (who MAKE the show) what they deserved....

detox.....watch the entire 6 seasons and then tell me that only 2 or 3 were enough....never happened to anyone i know......actually i can say it is impossible...
if you like tv shows...adrelin and action....then 24 is unbeatable...!

looking at a more positive side:
jack will recover from alcohol problems and im sure the new season will be even more killer!!
