220 Volts presents its first event for 2009 featuring some of the best artists of the electronic music scene.On Saturday 7 of February a unique event will take place at The Cultural Center Hellenic Cosmos (Building 56, Pireos 254) with special guests Logic Bomb,Dino Psaras,DJ Doc and Steve Sai.
Jonas Pettersson and Johan Krafft from Sweden are the masterminds behind the legendary Logic Bomb project.For more than a decade Logic Bomb are considered as one of the top Scandinavian live acts with three personal albums on their backround plus countless releases on the best labels of the scene such as TIP World, Spiral Trax and Solstice Music where they also released their latest album Sonic Algebra that gained great worldwide success.The duet has played all around the globe in every major event and festival from Japan and Australia to Mexico and Brazil and at the moment they are putting the final touches on their upcoming album. Get prepared for a unique live perfomance!
Dino started his dj career back in 1988 djing with the likes of Carl Cox in small warehouse parties in the south of England playing a wide variety of dance music from house to techno.His career took a sudden change in direction in 1992 after being exposed to trance music.He soon became one of the most famous dj's in the scene and he was part of some legendary trance bands like Cydonia,Phreaky and Bullet Proof along with his good friends Steve Ronan,Oforia,Space Cat,Richard Kegg and Joti Sidhu.After countless live and dj appearences all around the world and releases on the best labels Dino is today one of the highest acclaimed dj's of all times and is a living legend of the dance music scene.His latest album was just released and at the moment he is working along with Deedrah and Shanti on their debut Krome Angels album.
For more than 12 years DJ Doc has been touring the globe with his great mixing skills and unique music taste performing in countries such as Mexico,Japan,Australia,Germany,Hungary,Belgium,Portugal and more.Widely considered as the finest and most respected greek dj of our days he recently signed to the roster of Harmonia Records.Doc returns to Athens for another magical night.
Born and raised in Athens Steve is an active dj for more than a decade and the current label manager of Rhythmetic Records plus an official dj of Harmonia Records.With countless appearences in all major clubs and events all around Greece and a perfomance in the famous Love Parade 2006 he is one of the most well known figures of the greek dance scene.No matter what your musical preferences are Steve has suprises for everyone so keep an eye on him wherever he plays.

Date of the event is Saturday 7 of February and doors will open after midnight.

Dear Destination the entrance fee of the event is calculated in such a way so that the party will break even in the end of the night based on the average attendance of people for the city of Athens,this is the most important financial aspect for the organisers who dont make parties to become millionaires but also dont make parties to support the scene from their own pocket.We wish we were that rich so we could make even free parties there with huge line ups so that everyone could have fun but unfortunately we are not in that position.
We could make the same event with a lower entrance fee in another place in Athens where the rent would be much cheaper and where we wouldnt have to pay for our own soundsystem,security,bar installations and such but we chose something better,bigger and different which is also ofcourse much more expensive for the organisers and therefore for the people.
Its simply a matter of choices and we chose Building 56 because we believe that is the best choice for such events in our country although it is the most expensive one too,well i guess we cant have them all can we?
And since its simply a matter of choices you as a thinking person can judge and decide on your own if what we give you worths its money or not,if you think that the event worths its money you are welcome to join us,if you think that we offer something that is not worthy of this price and we exploit the people for our own profit then you should boycott our events and stay at your home or go somewhere else to have fun.
Based on your comments on the price we guess you will stay home at that weekend,we wish you a good time in any case.
P.S 1 On the NYE event you were wondering how Rinkadink could both play in Athens and Thesaloniki,now you are wondering about the price,curious to see for what you will wonder about on our next event.
P.S 2 In order to claim that something is expensive you have to know its production cost.For example in order for someone to claim that a bicycle is expensive he has to know its total production cost.We seriously doubt that you know the production cost for our events,if you did we are preety sure that you wouldnt make such remarks in public.
