A friend sent me this, so since its today (or tomorrow) it might be good to consider:
On the 21st December the rising sun viewed from anywhere on Earth will eclipse the exact center of our Galaxy. This alignment happens only once every 25,800 years, and it occurs on 36 consecutive winter solstices from 1980 until 2016.
This is the reason why the Maya designed their calendar to end on 21st December 2012. This...as well as the sun-pleiades-zenith alignment over Chitzen-Itza on May 20th 2012, which is the day of an annular eclipse.
What's at the center of the Galaxy?
We have only recently discovered where the exact center of our Galaxy is. It is 26,000 light years away in the dark rift in the Milky Way near the constellation of Sagittarius. One year ago as a result of a 15-year experiment astronomers confirmed that at the center of our Galaxy there is a super massive black hole 4 million times larger than our sun.
The Galactic Center constantly emits gravitational waves, cosmic rays, gamma rays and X-rays in our direction. Today on the winter solstice our Sun is uniquely placed to directly absorb the greatest amount of this electromagnetic radiation.
Electromagnetic energy waves arriving here now from the center of the Galaxy have taken 26,000 years to get here, and were generated at the time of the last galactic alignment 26,000 years ago. That period co-incided with a quantum leap in our cognitive abilities that led to the birth of art and religion and the emmergence of modern culture.
260 days is the average human gestation period
26,000 days is the average lifespan of a human being (aprox 72 years)
26,000 years is the duration of the precessional cycle
26,000 light years is the distance to the center of the galaxy
26,000 years is the probable gestation period of our civilisation...

that is only turth for developed countries and some of the richest devlopoing ones, and only the 30 last years.
Very interesting the rest on the info but I will like to have some source to validate the rest of the facts. thx
