Just a short comment on this (Correct me if I'm wrong - I'm eager to learn). The Egyptian slaves* used Cocaine plants to achieve extra powers while working. This has been proved because they found leftover’s in their belly (Cocaine - not the chemical powder I mind you) And both you and me know that Cocaine does not exist in Egypt, Europe ect. Cocaine was special for South-America in that time. So the Mayan's (or which tribe?) didn't only travel the sea and give the Egyptian knowledge of Cocaine. They even influenced the Egyptians about pyramids, or maybe it was the other way around. But my point is that communication between the two nations where a fact. So the quote above isn't exactly right.. right? I believe Thor Heyerdahl proved the possibility of over sea travel with his Kon-Tiki project top the Easter Islands. A similar story is about the Greek mythology (Zeus and Co.) and the Scandinavian (Norwegian) Vikings and their mythology (Odin and Co.). The whole world is and has always been influenced by each other in many mysteries ways. ^^
* I've read that most "slaves" that build the Pyramids weren’t treated like slaves as we see the word slaves. They where treated with respect and honour, maybe that’s why they did such a good job. |

I haven't heard anything about that cocaine connection psytones. What's your source? What goes for slaves building pyramids. At least some people say that they were in fact Egypt's own people (like farmers and stuff) who during the winter months (or when they couldn't practise their job) were taken to the build sites and were in fact paid (in one way or another). What goes for the Maya influencing Egyptians. Dude the timelines are so different. Egyptians had built pyramiss for millenias while the Maya were still basicly running naked in the jungle..

Well, I don’t know, lol. I learned it years ago, maybe school, rumour, textbook, a friend. But I don't have any documentation to prove it. For the time difference, you write a valid point. Are you sure these two civilizations could not have met (or any other pyramid building tribe from South-America)? At least my theory about Egyptian slaves might be true, as you self pointed out in your last post. Once again, I'm eager to learn, and say thank you if you or anyone else correct me (that goes for everything in life). Now to the question, who influenced who? The Vikings, or the Greeks?

No, I'm almost positive sure that I read about the Cocaine leftovers found inside Mummies .. The more I think about it, the more I seem to believe that I have read it in a magazine like National or something (The mind can play many tricks). hmm.. Please, anyone else heard about this? It would defiantly prove a connection between South-America and Egypt. |

^^Psytones the incas were the ones using coca plant, and yes I have also heard things like that and it would not surprise me to much if some of that is actually true. I frankly don't know. Also there is growing evidence that people who settled the Americas may have come from more than one place, not just through the accepted berign straight theory. For some reason this all remainds me of that book called: "Nothing in This Book Is True, but It's Exactly How Things Are", it really delves into the esoteric alien stuff and how thinsg are not what we think, it talks about our history and aliens and lots of crazy stuff.
But in regards to the cultures of America, still it is very hard to get over the fact that the American continent is divided by a huge sea which would make interaction with other completely different cultures an extremely difficult thing to come by. That is why most archeologists even with the possiblity that there were a few fantastic sea voyages agree that the cultures there developed independently from the rest of the world.
And yo know the fact that both Mesoamerican cultures and Egyptians had pyramids does not prove a connection. The pyramids are very different, plus a pyramid shape is not the hardest thing to come by, like just droping sand on the ground will produce naturally a sort of pyramid cone shaped mound.
