abit harsh lads. hes obviously trying to give something back to the forum, it might not be right, but not alot of people want to give away there production skills. if you know a better way of makeing these basslines, why not point him in the right way or make a tutorial yourselfs and give something back to the forum.

ok, so I'll be constructive here:
even though I'm sure this is all in the "mother of something somewhere"...
try to build a simple patch with just one Sawtooth Oscillator.
make sure the oscillator is set to restart the note's cycle: you do that by ticking the "retrig" button.
make sure envelope one has all these knobs at center position (that's no modulation, since to the left it modulates from value to negative, and right the other way around): pwm, cuttoff and detune. the one you need to the right here is "level" knob, so the envelope will only affect the volume. (also cancel all modulations for envelope two).
ok, so set sustain to full first and adjust the attack and release to get a nice roll going, the attack gets rid of the initial click, the release gives it a more natural feel but don't over do it, otherwise the notes will jump into each other - you can check this easily with some form of "oscilloscope", there's a free one lying around on the web, google "free oscilloscope plug-in" (can't remember the name now).
once that's done, choose the lowpass filter with a slope of your choice: let's say 24dB. absolutely no resonance, no filter key track (at least at this point), and choose a cutoff position where you feel that the fundamental tone of the note of the bass is present but nothing bellow that.
next you can start with no attack, no sustain. just some decay and release. and turn the cutoff knob to the right - that's the amount the envelope is going to modulate the filter's cutoff position. so tweak the decay, release and that knob until you get it sounding good.
if you want some filter saturation going, turn the drive knob up and adjust to taste. I'd keep away from the other options and if using Vanguard would click on setup and turn off the "old" something option and the exciter.
there's your basic patch. it will not sound good if the kick doesn't suit it though. kick's length is VERY important here. specially for such frenetic BPM you have going there.
while processing the sound, try to complement what you did on the synthesizer rather then completely changing the sound. you're cutting way to much of the low end there, you're going to need some subs to have a nice bass floor driving the track. but if your kick has to much of it, then you can shave off some of the sub rumble from the bass or the other way around.
hope it helps. keep it up dude!

Much better. And being positive even if you don't totally mean it at first IMO make you fell positive in the end.
