i searched the forum and couldn't find anything about my problem .
i got this synth recently so my questions might sound ignorant, first how do i play more than one program from a program slot (A for exapmle), i still haven't figured out perfectly the program slot/midi channel thing .
other one is recording knob movements, there's automation and tweaking while i bounce the sound, what else can i do ?

i dont have a NR2 so i hope it is similar to the nord modular.,
your first question, do you mean that you want other slots to play together when you play slot A?
if so, then you need to assign the same midi channels to the other slots that you want to play along.,
then the knob movements.,
if you set up your synth correctly all knobs should send out midi data,.
you can record this in your sequencer.,
if you have problems with this then you should describe your problem in more details otherwise it's difficult to guess.,.,

hmm not exactly i want to play more than one sound from every slot, but i'm not sure if it's possible, if i want them to play along i assign cha 1-4 to slots A-D, but that gives me only 4 sounds simultaneously .
with 16 voice polyphony it's suppose to play more than one sound per slot, unless it's layered or unison is on etc. etc . so i'm not sure how to do it, and you probably right about knob movements i probably didn't spend enough time configuring the whole thing .

well, basically, every slot can have only one sound (combination of parameters) ., but if the sound is polyphonic then you should have multiple voices comming from one slot.,.,
maybe the sounds you choose are set up to be monophonic?.,

u can ... play 4 sinth at same time with nord ... every bank with diferet midi chanell or every bnk with the same midi channel ... , and u can play music with the 4 working instanly in one midi track !!
if u bought the nord leads .. read the pages 9,10,11,12,13,14,15, and readf the perfomance page .. starting on page 40 
this might help u
nord is a really nice machine ... i love to make music with her .. and its the unique machine i use in this moment

well i figured out what the problem is but i still don't know how to fix it, basically i don't know the proper way to connect the midi keyboard+rack+computer .
the way it's described in the manual is not working properly because it does not send the knob movements to the computer, i tryed various combinations of ins/outs and none of them worked completely (only some functions worked but not all of them)
any ideas anyone ?
i have a m-audio keystation49e with one midi out and a usb .
