U need a graphic card that takes 2 monitors ,
U will have all kinds of options with 2 monitors ,Open cubase in 1 screen reason in second , or open cubase mixer in 1 screen and have the seq in the other ..... and so on and so on            3ó BooOoM ShanKaRA 3ó

Hi man,

yes it is very confortable to work with 2 monitors when you are working with a sequencer you can have the seq. on the left and mixer and effects on the right instead of you have to open on top of each other, use to drive me crazy

So what you need is not to pcs but to start with you will need a Dual VGA card (the video card) which splits in 2 and so you can connect 2 monitors at one go

hope that this helps

ooo so per Default the secuencers For example Cubase and Fl get sync cause they are sharing the same system and also because of the rewire right?

If you have a laptop and a desktop PC, you can network them and use the laptop screen as a second monitor with a program called Maxivista. This will still let you use the laptop for other purposes, and I tend to run VSTack on it with a couple of choice convolving reverbs, fed down the network with Wormhole plugins from my main PC, as well as a spectrum analyser which is listening to the main mix.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

colin, does this "network" require a router or is it direct-connect?

I use it through a switch (I often work with people who bring their own laptops to the studio and it's good to connect everyone onto the same network with internet access) but it would probably save you a millisecond or so to go direct.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
