Hi, i'm thinking about combining my Tannoy Reveal with my Behringer Truth monitors using a Samson C-Control:

I like the Reveals for their mids and the Truths for their bass and figured that if i use them at the same time, i get the best of both worlds. On the the other hand, i'm a bit worried about possible interfering frequencies etc.
Is anyone here currently using two sets of monitors at the same time, or did anyone ever try this ?

i don't but i've seen many recording studios with more than one pair of monitors. GMS as an example have more than 2 pairs. just a little curiosity, how much does that C control cost? |

Thnx for the info, i was afraid of that. Well, then i'll just keep using my A/B switch, wich is considerably cheaper: 10 neuro's

A/B is maybe cheaper, but it's also the best way for mulitmonitoring Nothing to be afraid of really...

as far as i know, multimonitoring is for comparing the results of your work without playing 2 pairs at the same time..
i'm also afraid that with 2 pairs of monitors you may create several phase cancelations which results into NOT hearing either some sounds playing or simplier some frequencies, which is very bad..
1st. google 'phase cancelation' to see what i mean.
2nd. take some advice from a proffecional engineer, or from an engineering school teacher.. he may know, and it costs nothing
p.s. before i was able to afford monitor speakers, i used to have 2 diffirent cheap hifi systems (you know, the ones you can buy from every store that sells tv's, dvd-players, hair dryers et.c.) playing at the same time, for the same reason. the one had some freqs i liked that the other didn't and vice versa.
this worked ok, but i don't know what happens with monitors. (this stands for the phase cancelation thing).
