2 new psy tracks...110-130 and 137-145

So I've been working on these two songs in tandem for the past month or so, they've both taught me a lot and I would love some feedback on them.

The first one, "The Gateway" starts at 110 bpm and then transitions to 130 at around the 7:30 mark.

The second one, "Jekyl and Hide" starts at 137 bpm and then transitions to 145 around the 5 minute mark.

I am not intending to produce a specific sub-genre, I would ideally like to merge different elements of the different styles that I enjoy...

I think both tracks sound pretty good, theyre relaxing. really nice tunes!!

My initial intent with both of them was to b e mellow and laid back...but they both turn a little dancey eventually eheh

Yeah, they're both pretty good. The first one's nice and chill. I don't enjoy the snare around 2min and the transition to a faster bpm is a little sudden. The second song transitions much better but the kick and bass seem to disappear n some of the leads are louder and kinda jut out.

I know what you mean abt merging different styles that you like. Haha I mixed reggae n hyperbpm darkpsy. I reckon it's a good thing coz it makes your songs/sound a lot more personal and defined from other songs, rather than following the rules for X style and creating something stock standard

Good stuff tho, got good fx, nice n melodic. I like
