yo ppl.
ok its time for me to buy me 2 cd's and a mixer.
time to start practicing those skills...
please share recomandations for equipment.
1 thing.
its only for home use.
so i was thinking about a set of gemini.
i know its not half as good as pioneer.
but, its only for home practice.
and i dont wanna pay too much.
i was thinking something like 2000-3000 nis.
so give places where i can buy.
or if anyone wanna sell his...

Pioneer is expensive... all you need is a pair of decent Gemini CDJ's with pitch control, and a Gemini mixer... You can buy a package like "Gemini Disc-o-mix" for about 300-400 $, and it includes 2 cdj's, a mixer & a road case...

if its only for your home use I would suggest you stick to the cheaper option gemini will do you good though the difference between gemini and the pioneer cdjs is quite big (from the professional point of view)
as for the mixer just make sure that you have bass/mid/high controllers at least for each channel otherwise you're really waisting your time |

Don't go for Gemini , i don't know about their
CD-playaz , but their mixers sucks and
their technicses sucks too .

wako im sure that the gemini is good for the Home
but after you will practice a little you will say...hmmm im ready for the pioneer...so its better you go for the high standarts.

yes, but a pioneer system costs around 6000 NIS, and gemini can be half price, or even cheaper, and the difference isn't that big... If you have good DJ skills, then you can do just fine with Gemini!

ok, this is just MY OPINION, a big amphasis on MY, but here goes:
a. have you considered turntables?
b. theres nothing wrong with second hand pioneers, they are realy work horses, (mainly the 500 ones, the 100 have a "small" tendency to...... cease working properly after two years) and last a long time, so reconsider, couse second hand pio. will out last any first hand gem.
c. the same goes for the mixer, if you hang around layla web page and act web page long enough, your bound to find a nice second hand deal on something good, again, in my opinion, something good (as far as cdj go) is pioneer or dennon.
think about it man, you probably wont quit this, and in a year, you would want a better setup, and end up losing more money that way.
