2 albums were released the same week. 2 albums which both no doubt represent the very finest. Other being the new Infected Mushroom album and other being the Younger Brother debut album. I still haven't heard the Younger Brother album but really cannot wait to get my hands on it. Can't wait to "compare" the finest of Israel with the finest of UK..

Which will be deeper? Which will be more psychedelic? Which will be more innovative? Which will be more ground breaking? Which I will find better? After reading the review of the Younger Brother album I'm just drooling. After listening the Infected Album through a few times I'm quite dissapointed...

Do I have a point here? No, not really..
Do you people have any comments on these two albums.. no reviews.. but comments..
let's not turn this into which is better album thread.. but let's compare.. let's look for similarities.. let's look for.. something..

dumb idea? yeah might be.. but I still hope some1 will take part on this besides me..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

I love the Infected mushroom CD, very nice work. I didn't have a chance to listen to the new younger brother CD.

Infected have 23 tracks, 19 tracks are just beautiful, the the other 4 could be better. Coverting Vegetarians is a good CD to own, I give it 8.5/10 overall.

Well that's a very interesting comparison.
Indeed the of the leading "mainstream" acts releasing albums this week.
I really expect to hear them both, though i think that if i'll have to choose blindly what to buy i'd go for Simon & Benji.
Their recent work is instant classic, even in our tired scene.

You can't compare different styles.
Infected went freestyle this time, even in the trance album.

I have the younger brother album but I don't have the infected album yet so I can't compare...
I would describe the younger brother album as a dance version of shpongle, but maybe I'll write a detailed review of it later on...

my favorite track is scanner, the beat there is so perfect, 120 bpm on the dot also some fans of the original hallucinogen sound can look forward to the track magic monkey juice...it has that old school feeling...           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

Well, I listened to the some of the IM tracks - can't say I was overly impressed - it's good music, with very good production, but it's not mindblowing material. From Younger Brother I expect much more.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Okay, I admit, the entire idea of comparing these two albums was totally ridiculous. They do share a few things. First of all they both have trance and ambient tracks. Second of all both of these albums are no doubt part of the "mainstream trance" (selling wise).

Other than that... I happen to find the other of these two albums a instant classic, a innovative piece of art, that really can't be explained for it happens to be so awesome. The other, well to me it's just the same ol shit, nothing new..

Everyone does have a right to their own opinion, but I truly cannot understand how any1 could prefer the less good album.. for they truly sound like they are from other worlds..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

What are you talking about Traveller, I just got my hands on the new IM album, and it's one of the most innovative albums I have ever heard. Off course you can hear that it is IM, the crazy scratchy sounds, but there are so many new ideas, and the crystal clear sounds are almost unmatched. The freestyle part is amazing, maybe a bit cheesy at times but who cares it sounds wonderful. And I must admit after the BF album, I didn't thing that infected was going to be the same again, but this album proved me wrong. Even Though I only heard it twice, I don’t believe that my opinion will change… I haven’t heard the YB album, but to be honest I don’t like there sounds that much.

Ofcourse it's a matter of taste...
But the YB album truly does make the IM album sound like repeative shit..

well.. that's just my opinion.. I'm sure many will prefer the IM album..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

I sure do agree with you, after listening to the new infected album, I think there are just about enough tracks there to make a solid one cd album. Younger brother rulz!           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records
