At the age of 14 it is doubtful that you have the compositional skills or the technical skills to be considered a musician or a psy artist. I will put these comments on hold until I hear your music though. |

one thing to consider as well is that labels usually don't only want a track, but "an artist" (a "product"?). which means the combination of music, the personality, concerts (dj sets or live acts). its the combination that makes $.
  $ exp(j*pi) + 1 = 0. $ |

WHAT! dija you are full of crap man! even before you hear the guy's music you are making a statement like this? What a load of junk
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfgang_Amadeus_Mozart
He was three! when he started doing it for real and do you think his father was telling him things like this? you should be carefull bro. I am not saying you need to bullshit someone because they are young but to say that it's doubtfull that they have the skills? ag kak man. What about that liddle bow wow dude? he got a leg up! so what! good for him! you want to make it harder or something it's bad enough already. I listen to your music after other ppl giving you a hard time and find something good to say But I also think it's less than good enough for you to be going around critisising other ppl if you understand that other ppl show you what you hate about yourself you will go a long way Dude I am sorry to get hectic but I had to say these things!

According to your link it said he learned to play several pieces of music at age four. This is possible by anybody who is put through training. This is not compositional...this is a physical ability.
I said it is doubtful that he has the skills. Meaning a very low percentage rate. It is possible yes but he must start very early in composition as well as learning the technicality it takes to produce psytrance.
Lots of folk around here have been doing it for years and they never learned composition. They just learned the technical aspects and that is part of this downfall in music some of us are experiencing.
I know my place and I know my music's place. My music is nothing special. I have potential and my music is mediocre at best. If I'd focus a bit more on completion instead of innovation it is releasable by today's standard. Although, I'd still be too embarrassed to release it, because it wouldn't be up to my standards of what I think is good music. I am developing my skills and discovering which genres I want to pursue. Do I want the freedoms of downtempo/breaks or do I want a better opportunity to go have fun at parties playing psy but having to endure the vast restrictions of 4 beat dance music? Anyways, that's off topic.
As far as you stating my music is not something that allows me to criticize that still doesn't change my perception abilities, recognize innovation, recognize potential, and respect all music that is of high caliber rather it is my taste or not.
If you're speaking of lil bow wow the rapper thats quite trash. He's got producers that make all his beats and all he does is act like a lil gangster on the mic. Not to mention rap beats are nothing to behold to begin with. Any child can throw together some of these trashy rap beats I hear. |

Well I will say some good things before I conclude that this isn't very good music. I listened to all 3 songs. It's good that he attempts to use melody in his music. It is better than a lot of the psy that I hear released. Becoming true is decent with its use of voice samples. He has good ears and I can picture him becoming a good artist.
The songs seem like he found a bunch of good loops and randomly placed them together. I hear the same presets used over and over. The songs randomly jump from loop to loop. This music is not release worthy. If he stays with it he will become quite good but for now he is still developing and his music is maturing. The production also lacks. I may be the only one that hears this but I hear a lot of things going on that would indicate he is an amateur. When I say "things" I mean adding elements when they aren't needed, feeling of stability, feeling of evolution, progressive transitions etc. Don't get me wrong I'm not forgetting he's 13 and this is a great accomplishment at such a young age assuming he's not using loops or dance ejay. Many of his chord progressions are not very good and there is never any kind of progressive element that leads you into the next part it is usually just a sudden change or a cheesy fx sweep that triggers the next part. Last, his music lacks any originality what so ever. It's an attempt straight out of the book of trance. If you took some mediocre trance artist and mixed it with a psy bassline this is what you have.
The only reason I point out all of these negatives is because you posted the link as if you're trying to prove something.
I hope he continues to make music and evolves into one of the greats. |

@FGK108
Please mind your language - or your approach.
And I agree,
I must say that it is doubtful - just because it's rare - that's all, not because I want to spread bad vibes around here or anything that you have suggested.
