The word is believed to be a corruption of "bone fire" deriving from a Celtic midsummer festival where animal bones were burnt to ward off evil spirits.
So alex, you are now obliged to scare off evil forces (such as cops) by performing a ritual fire... becareful not to burn the whole forest!! muahahaha 
can't wait to see & hear cob again... has been too long!!!

That would be the old salt miners spirits i guess...they can't be too evil? I heard they hang out in the big cave nearby...if anyone really wants to meet them that's where to go, they throw they're own party there every night!

Still looking for that cave, that would be the big bingo to throw parties there, as not a single Db would ever go out of the ground!
Heard it was walled up a few decades ago, too dangerous... No question the spirits of all deceased miners are free to party now...
Seb is right though, salt is the most powerful thing to keep the evil spirits at good distance

How to get there without a car?
Go to Ollon(VD) by train and bus (http://www.sbb.ch)
At the exit of the village, hitch hike your way up with other party people!

An option for the people who DO NOT want to hitch-hike:
take the train to Plambuit from Aigle (http://www.sbb.ch). Ask for this stop to the train crew.
Then there is a one kilometer walk to the party on a suitable for motor vehicles road which will be marked with ballons for you!!! , lucky pedestrian!
Just take an electric torch, because it will be real dark.
Last train arrives there at 22:12

For people coming by train to Plambuit, once you come down let the train continue his route, then look for the balloons, follow the rail road about 600-800 m (flat) direction Aigle, then cross the rail road on your left (good track) continuing to follow the balloons to the party... total walking about 30 minutes... Don't forgive to take electric torch with you because the track is integraly in the dark forest... Good Luck and see you there... Your efforts will be recompensed

Thanks Alexis - Cradle of Beats and Ramon without whom this party would never have been possible. Core commitment and belief in the (magnetic) vision! Special thanks to Crade of Beats for the cleaning... and the fantastic live-act who sound better and better each time.
Midimal was as good as I remembered from Männedorf, Christian you rock!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy I decided to book you on this, you gave us all smiles larger than our heads!!!
