Ok time for me to become a little bad here,sorry but i couldnt hold my self expressing my honest opinion on this one.
Dear Nabi Records 20 euros for buying a cd (plus 4 euros for the posting) is an extreme price under any circumstances.I mean when all the major labels sell their releases for 6-7 euros to their distributor (and the distributor after making a profit sells the cd to a shop and then the shop after making its own profit sells the cd to the people for 14-15 euros) and you are selling directly to the people for 20 then its like selling almost two times more than the rest of the labels in the scene.
Sorry but your explanations didnt convince me for selling your cds at the price of 20 euros.
I mean you said that you are a small independent project autofinancing your first release.Excuse me but 95% of the labels out there begin like that (including my label too),i mean everybody finances his label on his own,do you know any labels in the psy trance scene with sponsors behind them?
You also said that you just printed 450 copies trying to pass to the people the idea of collectible items and stuff like that.Sorry but printing 450 was your choice and we both know that printing 450 cds costs less money than printing lets say 2000-3000 cds that most labels print in every of their releases in our days.Also printing a cd in few copies doesnt make it a collectors item in any case,i mean a Picasso painting is a collectors item,Jean Michelle Jarre's one and only copy cd named Music For Supermarkets is a collectors item,maybe T.I.P Records first vinyl is also a collectors item (since its old and extremely rare to find) but a compilation of new artists printed 450 times is for sure not a collectors item,maybe in ten years it will be something rare and precious if the artists featured now in it will turn into super duper stars of the trance scene (and not only) but for now this compilation is just another cd printed in few copies.A collectors item you see doesnt only deal with low quantity but also with high quality 
Your cd has for now the low quantity but not (not yet at least) such a high quality in order to name it a collectors item.

Good luck in this compilation and in your future releases (though i personally suggest to you to not keep working this way cause in the long run this tactic of low printing copies and high prices wont work) and take care.
P.S Sorry if i sound a little rush and offending,i just wanted to express my honest opinion on this subject and nothing more.

Ok I paid 20 Euro + 4 Euro for shipping and I do not regret this a bit, well spent money, I hope this extra cash helps your label to get on a good track and continue releasing such awesome compilations.

First it was not a choice, whe had 2000 € maxi in our budget for the printing costs, so choice was first set by budget.
Second: Depending of the type of packaging, the type of printing (1 to 4 colrs + specials ones) and of course the quantity you order, the price of a CD can considerably change... form basic printing in crystal box to a more elaborate packaging can more than double the price...Right?

1) Read well before writing foolish comments that show you did not really understood or pay the right attention to the post you are quoting.
2) Try to be positive: It's difficult to do something in psy trance, what the use to critizize each other, not very constructive... ARE YOU ENVIOUS OF OUR SHITTY QUALITY!! How my god, you know it's a sin...HA HA HAAAAA On you knee and pray Satan for redemption!!!

I also agree with Detox, and still after the nabi post it is not clear at all. If you where not so eager to come up with a undergound label bla bla story no-one would have commented on that. But printing 450 copies with all the colours & xtras you want will not exceed 750 euro's! So don not teach us about maths, you will have your costs back with 750/20=37,5 cd's sold. Where any other label must sell minimum of 250 to 300 cd's! Like I said, just do your label thing and don't tell us how the scene works if you do not know the facts.

My oppinion about this whole story:
I like the idea, that the rest of the money of a release not goes for the distributors. Who worked more with it? Well, I think the label. If he feels that he can promote himself, why wouldn't he do selling his own product? Does it hurt someone? We speaking about a compil with music that hasn't got too big interest worldwide yet. So nothing can guarantee that the label can sell all the 450 copies. But anyway if he can, do you think this 450 copies will make them rich? Give them a little confidence, and let's see for what will they spend this money; for buy a new car, or releasing more unique music? I beleive in the second choice.
This label also puts big attention and effort on promoting and supporting the artists, i like that. (Btw at this point I have to ask you Datakult: If you have doubts about a label who release your music, 1. Why do you work with them? 2. If you have questions, why don't you ask them directly?)
So to sum up: Yep, this label works different as it usual. Let's see what will they cooking out of this.
My hope that they will create a really correct label, which is strong and brave enough to release real psychedelic music time after time, like Parvati does. If not, then I'll be a bit disappointed, but how could I know it before?

Ahahaha Bed Bug u very right if you Mr. Detox or anyone out there does not like something - like style , or the price , no one is forcing you to buy. I agree with you that this price is expansive , but we need more good new labels ... I want to see more releases like this , sorry but I am kind of tired of old labels who keep releasing certain few shitty artist over and over again. This Nabi Got balls to release all this upcoming artists who are new, fresh and good, and people just need to know them. Thank you Nabi records for a great Cd I hope to hear more from you guys!!!!!
Btw if you buy a good car like, let’s say, BMW, u over pay a little, but when you drive it you know where the extra money goes. Into a research for future technologies, in to the image of good life, into quality not quantity … please do correct me if I am wrong

Dude, I'm tired, yes it is my project, I do not go on your post critizising your dumb project of internationnal booking agency saying out loud that this project is useless, worthless for the artist and therefore that people should boycott your shitty concept of booking system with an extra personn in betwwenn for what... I guess u need fame and recognition poor little think...NO WORRY: go to POP music, and leave Trance alone, who want's to be part of the system but you... Do u include in it artists"s fee, mastering studio fee, graphic artist fee, copyright registration for each artist and track... Wo, if u do so, poor guys, must not be peying them a lot...U DUM ASS, cost of pressing is NOT cost of production!
Anyways, sells are going, slow but they are going, and that's super cooool... Also, to see I have more freacks agreeing with me...so we gonna keep it this way

I find it OFF TOPIC, this is a promo thread, I find weird to see little fuckers trying to slow down our project or trying to disscredit us with lame arguments...when themself run a label and meet the same difficulties... I look forward to share my experiences, and we have ^project with other lables, if we do not help each others, who's gonna do it?? Not the big majors/distributors...
SO, I'm mainely more disspointed than pissed off... Anyways, We taking a full trip doing it... So swallow it and enjoy!
