Hell yeah...
There's some proper shite slower psy too - for example alot of the uber-cheesy crap makes me want to run around with an axe. However, I still recon the average production value is higher.
It's odd isn't it hehe...

IMHO:
Progressive has Something in common with Dark psy. It's called Zenon Records, sounds the same to me just on lower bpms. Rendom, Empty and Boring.

Tranquilizer trance or not as long as it has "music" inside and produced properly is anyday far better than empty and tasteless "noise" trance that covers with its speed and it's noises for the fact that too many "musicians" that create it hardly can distinguish G from C on the keyboard.
|

Give me an example of one released noizy badly produced trancetrack thats been covered in the speed?
|
|
Well since I am not a great fan of the genre, I dont know to recognize by names, but there are totally horrible and noisy mixes out there that sound a little as if someone has an interest of slicing yer head off your shoulders with that 2000 - 6000 hz overdoze.

Anyways... who are you to judge?
Its not your kind of music, that could be a reason why you dont understand it.
|
|
Just for your general knowledge music making has certain laws, even they can be broken but there are ways to break'em, and bad sound is bad sound is bad sound... so I guess that I make sound production long enough to judge ( never said a word about content of the music did I ? )... And just to make it clear that there are many kinds of music that are not my taste but I can definitely spot if they are done good or not... It is pretty easy actually.

Just like progressive/house/minimal aint my cup of tea, so i dont understand it..
TRANQUALIZETRANCE (Good name for one of your coming compilations maybe?)
But again, this is just my opinion!
|
|
hmmm the name is good actually. Unfortunately u totally missed the point since the whole conversation was around the fact that many "artists" cover their musical incompetense with speedy tracks and noisy breaks and intro's. I did it once actually and had the brains never to release it since I realized that I am fooling around and making some noise and learning in the process.

btw, I don't really understand why its called minimal. I love Minimal, like Lish's Masterpiece Dejavoodoo album. Zenon artists Sound close to maximal to me. But than I guess Max or min are subjective terms...or not?

try to slow your tracks down from at least 10 bpms and u'll see that actually it is your tunes that would need quite some more channels in the end |

it's conversations like these which add to the reason i steer clear of isratrance. what a pointless exchange of ideas. opinions said as if they're facts, then established as opinions in the out-clause.
music's music, fuckin like what you like. Dennis, you are a Menace. you clearly havent responded to any of Nik C's points. clear signs of someone who's point has little validity. unless you're going to actually explore the intricacies and reasons as to why music works differently at different speeds, and lay down some facts, dont spout shit. |
