In my opinion you should focus more on composition, because the song actually sound quite uninteresting, with a lot of repeated patterns, giving a "loopy" feeling.

Also, the dynamic strenght of the song is nearly zero. So few things appear, pop in your song. It easily bores the listener.

The bass and drum sounds are decent enough, so my advice is to get some time to analyze the structure of songs that you like, to understand some basic mechanics.

For example try to notice wich sound (drum groove, basic plucks, leads, arps etc) comes in a particular moment of the song, how in comes in and WHY (what does that sound brings with him? what does it adds to the song?). In this way you can understand better how to make a pleasant song.           Fire Walk With Me

Thanks for your words, great feedback, much appreciated!

Yeah ive been having trouble to get a fat dynamic sound, usually it sounds ok at home, and then everywhere else its just flat heh. Been practicing on that alot, but its difficult to get an honest sound with the monitors ive got now i guess. Planning to get some new gear during next year tho!

Again thanks for taking the time

great !
I love it!
Resolve your kick and bass relationship, i think switch the kick. And try to eq out parts of the bass that is just taking all over, and turn it down abit. Its great but takes all over the other things. Some starting percussions parts are so way behind. Bring them in a bit.
Keep up nice vibes!           http://soundcloud.com/magimix-1/chilling-forest-whispers

Thanks mate!
Yeah ive been a bit worried about the kick/bass, seems like i turn the bass up to make it sound good on my speakers (which obviously arent that great with the lower frequencies heh), and then it takes lots of space and mudds things up.
The plan now is to try and mix things up a bit, and then try to get the mix sounding loud and clear. Thanks for the tip of changing the kick, i'll experiment with some others, ive tried to EQ it in different ways but i still cant get it to fit properly.
