on the headphones it feels a bit more exciting in right ear in parts..

thanks elisdee, i'm glad you liked it.
im not very good with panning, i always find it one of the harder parts of mixing. i think you are right though. i will probably fiddle with the stereo field a bit when i next work on it.

How is this not signed?  Devastating groove mate, loving the bassline. Only suggestion, have a more careful the groove elements/drums/perc or that stab that comes in at around3:40, to see if you can high pass them higher and/or shelf some low mid out. Generally have a more careful look at the low mids.
This is much better than an awful lot of tunes I've heard last year (and so far this year) on the big prog labels.

Definitely very professional production, excellent groove. My only complaint would be that I was getting bored of it by the mid point and listened through to the end only to hear it not progress significantly. This is more a criticism of the genre since I seem to feel this way about a lot of tracks I hear.
Everyone else seems to love it so what does my lowly opinion matter. But if you wanted to win me over you should throw in a melodic lead and key change near the end. But that's just a issue of preference.
Compared to tracks of a similar style, I give this one two thumbs up. |

thanks very much for everyones comments. it really means a lot to me. i've been struggling with inspiration/motivation recently so its really nice to know people like my music

a bit more going on now, also improved the flow and tightened up the overall sound.
still need a few tweaks here and there but its near enough finished i'd say.
i'm thinking of sending this of to some labels (first time i've been happy enough to even consider it) so some more constructive criticism would be very welcome.
