Hi all,

for months my girlfriend has been nagging me to make a track just for her, so I finally obliged and made this spaced out, dreamy groover that hopefully does justice to her otherworldly beauty and kindness of the heart

Anyways, any feedback is appreciated, because I wouldn`t wanna make a track for her that sucks...

Yeaaaa, bassline really is groovy man. I dig the perc also, meticulous and rithmic. Really enjoyed the intro progression and specially that section from minute 3 to 4 but I feel there could be some variation from minute 5 until the end.

The dreamy groove has been fulfilled however I feel that you could add some stuff to evoke that feminine soul you speak of. Paint some high pitched synth notes here and there and add some vocals or sound effect maybe in the trippy section with out kick. That's just my opinion. keep up the good vibes!

peace

Thanks man

But who knows what the feminine soul looks like, I certainly don`t hahaha When my GF listens to electronic music she likes it subtle and contemplative, that why I kept it deep and atmospheric, but you are right, maybe i should experiment with a few more melodic twinkles and sparks here and there to spice it up.

Or to use female lingo: ACCESSORIZE!

Great work! Loving this deep, hypnotic sound - reminds me of progressive house/trance from the 2002-2005 era. Even some Atmos-inspiration           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

this is groovy!! love the psy/progressive techno stylings. im really feeling this. groovy shit like this is what makes me want to produce four-to-the-floor again as opposed to psybreaks etc.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the nice feedback

I`m glad you notice the Atmos references, because when I started the track I wanted to emulate his trademark percussion. The first working title of this track was actually "Atmos retarded little brother", hehe

And talking about track title, in honor of this thread I renamed the track, it is called "Accessorize!" now

BTW, I accessorized some more, actually i changed the mix and arrangement a bit and messed with some sounds, so if you listen in the same Soundcloud link above you can hear the new version.

also reminds me a bit of reefer decree. good minimal sound mate.

maybe one small critique is the sounds too me are a bit to "clean" like very much samplebank sounding. but i know this is the sound of the genre you made this track in, so it is just a personal note.

nice progression, nice everything pretty much. works from start to finish.

i like the girlfriend thing, a good muze to make a track for sure!

not my genre, but good track!

Thanks for the Feedback

About the sounds, I did not use a samplebank! All of those patches are self-made (some from scratch, some starting from a pre-set, and some heavily "effectized" afterwards), the only samples I used are the percussion hits. However you are right that they sound very common and are not the most innovative, but I like those sounds, hehehe           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch
