I am so glad to have made it to this event despite it being cold and having a cold! I'd have to say that as many times as I have been to this Mojave location it was truly one of the most psychedellic experiences I have had so far. It was also wonderful to see friendly faces and everyone in happy spirits! Until next time.... |

Wow, it was such a great time! I think it was one of the best gatherings of this year for me, even it was cold the spirit of the party was hot. Thanks to everybody who made this possible and who came to the Mojave. Can't wait till the next time..

I'm still in awe of this beautiful mojave night... everything may have been frozen but the beats, fire and people kept moving all night long. Deep respect to all the artist, organizers, and those who gave strength to the xlr8r. and thanks to everyone who crossed into the desert night.. there are lots of faces I don't know yet, but damn is it nice to see so many smiling faces in the middle of such a wild place.

In my humble opinion, based only on the last three and a half years i've been here, THIS WAS THE BEST PARTY HERE EVER!.
excellent sound navigation from everybody, perfect vibe from people all around, freezing ass cold to move all of us as much as possible, plus some excellent breakfast made this going away party for me an unforgettable experience!

I was actually going to go so far as to say this was the best party ever anywhere...at least, it was as good as any party can ever get. It was perfection in a night. |

wow, crazy response......
now that the event is over, here is the lineup as it happened:
7-930pm OMSK 411 (M-Audio) from downtempo to IDM to booty (the sandwiches track) to light prog tech trance. this guy played live with an instrument he created, the "Xponent", for use with a software he partially invented, "Torq"
930pm-11pm SUBOCAJ (Psycircle) moving from psy-prog to twilight style psychedelic. most excellent set!!! perfect track selection!!
11pm-1am GREENMAN (Psycircle) starting with some robotic twisted material at 150BPM moving up to 160 BPM wackiness. this guy is crazy, to say the least. such a good track selection, where does he get these tracks?
1am-3am ARAHAT (Psycircle) slowing it down a bit, taking a step back on the BPM, going deeper while staying trippy, playing alot of his own material mixed in with releases from the past few months.
3am-430am LIMBERTIMBRE (Psycircle) this dude got crazy, and like Arahat he was playing his own material mixed in with some new releases, but stepping up the BPM a bit.
430am-630am GHREG ON EARTH (Earth) even though he was spinning CDs (like the rest of us) I believe he played all his own material. it was clean and deep, great way to bring in the dawn.
630am-830am CILIUM (Sanaton rec)
this was a mix of Cilium tracks plus some other fav tracks from artists like Gidra, Dronebixie, Syntax Error, Onkel Donkel, Mubodhi, and the likes. lots of on-the-fly sound manipulation using looped pieces of tracks and pitch/filter bends to make the mixes unique.
830am-10am SPYROS (Psytribe) this set was the best ever I have heard from this Greek maniac..... dark, bubbly, squishy psychedelic tracks slowed down just a bit for the morning.....most excellent
10am-12am DROPZONE (Psycircle)
I have to say that this was some BADASS PSYCHEDELIC PROGRESSIVE!! this guy spins the most trippy prog beats I have ever heard.....he always seems to know where to find the good prog, he always impresses me and keeps the crowd going....wow.
12am-??? BODHI
ok, well.....I sped the tempo up from the standard prog tempo of 135 up to about 170 in a matter of a couple tracks.....then I slowed it down...then up again...I dont know, I was kinda drunk and tired. I had fun though.
-------
here's the thing...
I never really like to post the lineup because at a party like this, I never know whats going to happen, who's gonna show up when (if at all), and if they are here, what mood they are in (or what state of mind). the lineup just kind of forms itself, I just have "guidelines" in mind.
THANK YOU!!!! to all those wonderful people who attended.....ESPECIALLY:::
Emi, Sangeeta, Drewcifur, Bedouin, Fey, Shiva, Spyros, Ghreg, Karo, Teryn, Sivan, Desde, Melina, Abhi, Katya, Oso, Paul, Julie, Carl, Indy(the fire cannon old guy), Chad, Jack, Aaron...
and the core crew.... Brian, Tom, Nate, and Rachel
we shall be doing many more events.....stay tuned for Gidra in March and Kindzadza in April (thats right trippers, so far so good with both the visas, for sure)
