Detox, all the points you made there are to do with the behaviour of people at these events, and the behaviour of the organisers, not the legality of the event itself. If you have all the necessary permissions and licenses etc. to run an event at a particular location then your event is legal, by definition. What goes on there, and how many people complain, and whether or not it gets shut down because of breaches of the law is down to the subsequent actions of the people attending and organising it. It's not unknown for police to illegally close down an event which is otherwise legally organised; this does not reflect on the legal status of the event itself. |
| At the end of the day it doesn't matter whether the event is actually legal, only if the government wants it to happen. If they do not want it to happen, they will find a way to stop you even if the law says they can't. |

There is no event anywhere in the globe that is 100% legal,if you want to make an event that will be 100% legal you will need permits from so many authorities that you will need 2-3 years just for the paperwork that is IF you manage to get all permissions.
Permit from the police, the fire department (especially in USA for those who know),the municipality, the ministry of culture, the ministry of economics and local tax office, the health department, ministry of tourism and ministry of enviroment if you are having an open air event next to a forest or beach (both essential for greek festivals),the ministry of employment (for the required artist work permits) and so many other authorities that i will need two pages to write them all down.
And even when you get all these papers one nice day the local WWF or Greenpeace organisation can come up and fuck the whole festival or even the local church and create huge problems for you. Both examples have happened in the past.
I have more than 150 events in my backround as a promoter (all of them with international guests in big venues) and i have received fines for things such as illegal posters placement from the municipal police, sound pollution from the police department, illegal sale of combined drink including vodka and redbull (these two are illegal to be served mixed all around the world in case you dont know it) and my favorite fine was from the tax office for my cashiers not printing with enough ink on the receipts they were providing to the customers.

Not true!
In Denmark you only need 3 permits. One from the Police (You do not need one from the authorities such as the council), one from the fire department and one (also from the police) to serve alcohol IF that is what you want.
That's all.

So dear Beat Agency if an Israeli artist wants to come and perform to Denmark he doesnt need a working permit?????
Also you dont need tickets approved by the taxation authorities?????

Of course you need a work visa for an artist outside EC. But that's pretty easy to get here and not something I consider to be a big job.
No you do not need an permit in advance from the tax authorities here.
As Colin rightfully pointed out you might have a lot of experience in throwing parties in Greece but certainty not around the World and one thing is sure. Greece is not Denmark. Far from when it come to Bureaucracy. I know I spent a lot of time in Greece (a long time ago) and also threw a party there (illegal as it took too much of an effort to get the right papers). I know it's awhile back but according to my friends in Greece it's not easier these days.
So my suggestion is for you not to assume that you know all about throwing a party in my Country and what permits you need

Well Kristian you said in your previous post that you need ONLY THREE PERMITS and i just proved that you need another permit for an international guest outside the E.U
I am preety sure that if i spend more time on this we will both find out that you need more permits to hold an event in Denmark than the ones you THINK you need.
Also allow me to doubt the fact that you can host an event with no written aggreement from the tax authorities or no tax checked tickets,i mean this way you can host an event without paying taxes and without declaring anything? Sounds strange to me. I mean what tickets do they sell in presale periods for concerts in Denmark? Just some papers with a picture on them? Reminds me 90% of the international trance festivals presale tickets around the world that are....well how to say it.....hmmmmm...lets just say not so legal and i have happened to work with A LOT of international festivals as their embassador here in Greece.
