I'm listening to your samples right now Dija, sorry but...I fail to feel anything interesting, challenging, new or top notch in it.
By reading your posts I thougth you were a professional producer or musician, and I agreed with a couple of statements regardless of the way you put them.
As well I think you're pretty confused by considering yourself realistic...a realistic person wouldn't post such things.
You just have your point of view...as valid as anyone else.
But...you seriously need much more time in the studio, I mean...my little brother could do your tracks in 4 hours.
Reality is knocking your door mate, think twice before saying what you've said about people like SP (I mean...coming from you is almost impossible to take it seriously) if what you have to show is an absolute amateur bunch of samples.
Let's talk about it in...3 years, at least.

I never said anything about my ability except when I posted the tracks that it was mediocre at best. People challenged to see what I have to show and I'm not scared. I don't care what you think of it. Although, my abilities have nothing to do with this conversation. However, you failed to see that nearly everything I posted was something different with the exception of the few dance. I have never focused on one genre or do I usually focus on production quality extensively. I'm going to resort to some generic production methods when school is out and post the results (school is out today btw, yay). Such as, using presets and various samples. One of my friends is bugging me to make some formula psy anyways. Just to make a point to people like you. Going to leave out a lot of the musicality also and go for star trek sounds. Cookie cutter shit, full on psy trance straight from the formula.
Just because I criticize SP's use of those samples that he ripped directly from the cd and built a song around. That's like saying someone who isn't a pro basketball player cant see that someone isn't very good. SP's skill is undeniable but that sample leaves me to question how much of his other music is ripped. Also, I think the only reason shpongle is so grand is because of Raja, no doubt simon contributes but I'd bet raja writes the majority of the music.
Doesn't change the fact that Simon completely ripped that whole clip. Which is cheap as all can be and if you argue that I have nothing to say to you. |

if your not confident in your music now, you'll never be.and i doubt anyone will be to with your attitude and ego.you can give the criticism but i guarantee that you yourself will be criticized at one point, so be prepared for that.so keep going round in circles, chattin shit at each other, i'm sure you'll get respect off people and improve your creativity skills, someone should close this never ending sample bitching thread. |

He's a wicked performer though, and a total dynamo on the whole composition and theory side of things from more than 1 cultural point of view 
Either way this has very little to do with sample packs.
I say they are too expensive, but then again... I'm cheap and only buy films effects cd's from high street retailers. Whereas drum samples are a plenty all floating round the net.
Either way if you find a sample you like, then use it |
