Pitch Black (Waveform Records - New Zealand) Having pumped their way through New Zealand’s electronic music scene since their inaugural performance at the annual Gathering New Year's eve festival in 1997, Pitch Black have spent the last eight years rousing dance floor punters, generating rave reviews, winning awards and gaining thousands of fans across the world. Pitch Black are an audio visual experience created by Paddy Free and Michael Hodgson. Their sound ranges from organic ambient and layered soundscapes to skanting keyboards, cutting acid riffs and thumping rhythmic grooves, with dub being the glue that holds their music together. Advent (Sounds of the East - SEA) began pioneering the Asian Massive and Arabtronica sound in the NW circa 99'. Prior to that time Jungle, House, and ambient were his preferred genres. Well prepared to push the boundaries and try something completely new Advent veered to South Asian and Arabic Electronica. He began spinning the unknown genre at raves and underground events. Painted the black sheep in the NW electronic scene (although being known internationally as an authority on the two genre's.) he joined up with the NW's leading World music event Co. 'Planet Beat', and sounds of the east (one of the nations biggest bhangra and bollywood production companies). Since then Advent's affiliates include the world largest record Co. of quality world music 'Six Degrees Records', and the worlds most comprehensive and respected online source of world music 'Ethnotechno'. Advent's held weekly residencies at several established Seattle Venues- Tost, Last Supper Club, Cobalt Room, Online Cafe, Capitol Club and now The Mirabeau Room and Contour. Advent has also performed the NW's largest festivals-Bumbershoot(2 years in a row. est. 400,000 in attendance) and Hempfest (4 years in a row est. 175,000) as well as the International Sundance Film Festival. Osiris Indriya (Iboga Records, Oracle Gatherings, IOSIS Art Party - SEA) is a legend of the West Coast Underground Dance scene. He has been featured with underground artists such as Brian, Brad, and Trevor of L.A. Moontribe, Manoj of Uplift in Portland, OR, trance goddess Phoenix Olivia in Vancouver B.C., and Lorin (bassnectar) from Santa Cruz/SF, CA. Osiris has also been featured along side recording artists Human Blue (Spiral Trax, chill code - Sweden), Ganga Giri (Australia), Nick Taylor (UK/Australia) and SunControlSpecies (Zenon, Iboga - Australia), as well as Antix, Beat Bizarre, and DJ Banel from Danish Progressive label Iboga Records where he is now an official label DJ. He is a weekly resident at Contour Night Club in Seattle for IMPULSE Thursdays and Pangaea Fridays. All this while playing at forest, desert, beach, and indoor gatherings, club nights, and festivals up and down the west coast, as well as internationally including the Double 6 in Kuta, Bali and Shambhala Music Fesival in Nelson, Canada. He has teamed up with Infinite Connections to bring the best of Europe’s tribal progressive trance music and world class art to the Pacific Northwest in a series of events called IOSIS Art Parties.
