This will be absolutely the most powerful soundsystem I have ever heard psytrance on. I was very excited to get a call from the guys at BassMaxx yesterday saying that they wanted to "blow it up." What they are bringing out are 8 of these subs http://www.bassmaxx.com/products/x3c-trip/ which we will have stacked 2 high and 2 wide on each side of the stage.
4 of these tops http://www.bassmaxx.com/products/xs-2109/
here is a message from the sound guy. He is pretty excited.
"Looks like the sound for this one is going to consist of eight trips and four 2109s. Each trip has roughly the same output capacity as 4 double 18's. That's like a wall of 32 double 18's.
If you like large amounts of Bass, you will not miss this show.
For those that understand the significance, we are talking about peaks in the 145dB+ region at a reasonable listening distance and all the way down to 30Hz.
The setup at Burning Man (Root Society camp) was about the same output capacity, but in a large tent in the desert. This is going to be in an enclosed space, albiet a large space. I can honestly say that this will probably be the most massive amount of bass that I have ever experienced and I've been around sound quite a bit."
To borrow from the Bassmaxx website... "Did we hit 150dB?" |
